Going to a virtual desktop means that you have a few servers feeding multiple people... You make the changes on those few servers, and you make them once, and that makes the changes for everyone.
It’s a major change. There are a few if any unplanned outages anymore. It’s a great concept. By switching to All Covered Workspaces, Certex was able to “take all the user created issues at [desktops and laptops] and do away with them. It really brings the organization together.
All Covered made sure our software works properly and we now have an accurate accounting of all print usage. We used to receive complaints from our agents and other end users on a regular basis, but now, no one ever complains.
I depend on the All Covered staff on a daily basis. Any time of day,I know they are available to help. Their ability to provide Evergreen with a skilled workforce, and processes based on best practices has increased the value of our IT organization. This is a huge value for us and a breath of fresh air.
The capabilities for our educators and students are much improved. Whereas we had very limited, antiquated functionality before, we are on the front edge of technology today. For instance, before this project, we could only have 60 kids testing online at one time due to bandwidth. Now, the entire district can test at the same time.
