Brisbane Grammar have one of the largest 1 to 1 Student Notebook Programs in Australia, each year we deploy over 600 laptops to students and teachers to support learning. We support over 2000 notebooks across the campus, with strict SLA’s to provide maximum uptime for our students, teachers and administration staff. In addition to the day-to-day running of a complex IT environment, students are some of the toughest users of mobile technology, so our repair and accidental breakage is far higher than a typical corporate environment.
We chose Somerville to support our 1 to 1 Notebook program because not only do they have a deep understanding of the uniqueness of a school environment, they have a long history and experience in working with schools, with a proven track record. We have transparency and regular reporting with servicing so we know how the notebooks are performing daily, Somerville deliver 70% of notebooks back to our students within the same day and 98% by the following school day, ensuring IT is not an excuse for students. With the school providing, the vast majority of its learning through the Notebook program this service is critical to meeting the strategic requirement to have minimal delays to educational learning.
