About The Role

The role is part of the Presales & Architecture team which is responsible for driving sales and building / maintaining relationships between our business and customers. The role requires understanding the technical landscape of customers & delivering presales engagements in line with their requirements. It involves leveraging vendor relationships to assist with solution formulation & presentations as required.

This role may be based out of Sydney or Melbourne & reports to the Team Leader – IT Presales.

Main Duties

  • Work with the Sales team to ensure the smooth delivery and execution of client proposals, tenders, solution definitions, scoping of services and cost estimates related to CBS solutions and services.
  • Provide presales, architectural and technical governance across customer engagements to ensure solution components are delivered to meet client requirements and expectations
  • Perform analysis and review of technical solutions pertaining to commercial and architectural components, including ROI, TCO analysis and forecasting
  • Engage with customers on a consultative and strategic level to develop strategic plans, roadmaps and initiatives
  • Streamline the presales processes to provide a great experience for our customers during the sales engagement
  • Develop close working relationships with our sales team and our other business units to drive the success and growth of the business
  • Develop new or existing technology sales approaches in line with go-to-market strategies and initiatives
  • Assist marketing with go-to-market initiatives and campaigns from a technology/presales perspective

About The Role

We are looking for someone who has a strong business acumen with end-to-end understanding of IT solution sales & project delivery life cycle . Someone with demonstrated experience in design & implementation of Cloud & Infrastructure solutions. Skills or experience that the person must possess to be successful in this role include strong Presales and Solution Architecture expertise in the following areas:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the IT industry with at least 3 years in a Presales role
  • Experience working on large engagements and have the ability to put together complex technology solutions
  • Experience in large and complex RFP responses, solution design, ability to articulate the value proposition of an overall solution
  • Demonstrate ability to understand customer requirements and apply technology solutions to meet business problems
  • Proven experience and ability to own the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, documents and artefacts
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to work to strict timeframes, deadlines and budgets in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of the following key technology concepts:

-> Cloud concepts (Public, Private, Hybrid & Multi)

-> Cloud platforms and technologies (Azure, AWS)

-> Cloud service offerings (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS),

-> Data Center technologies and transformation

-> Modern Workplace technologies

-> Networking and Security concepts

-> Cloud based security concepts and services

-> Managed Services offerings

-> Expertise across a broad range of vendors such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Pure, Veeam, Rubrik, Palo Alto / Fortigate
