What will you be doing?

As a On-Prem Infrastructure Engineer with Chamonix, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining on-premises infrastructure solutions for our clients. Leveraging your expertise in both infrastructure engineering and network administration, you will collaborate closely with clients to assess their requirements, architect robust solutions, and ensure the reliability and security of their IT environments.

How will you help contribute to our success?

• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, networks, and backup solutions, tailored to meet the specific needs of clients.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Perform system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, patch management, and troubleshooting of operating systems.
• Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards within on-premises infrastructure environments, including access controls, encryption, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
• Monitor system performance and capacity utilization, identify areas for improvement, and implement proactive measures to optimize performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including backup and recovery strategies, to ensure the resilience of client infrastructure environments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients, resolving infrastructure-related issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime and disruption.

What skills does our ideal candidate have?

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting on-premises infrastructure solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in network engineering principles and technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
• Hands-on experience with server virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V) and storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS).
• Solid understanding of operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) and enterprise applications (e.g., Active Directory, Exchange).
• Experience with security best practices, compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, ISM, Essential Eight), and cybersecurity technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM).
