About the Role

As part of this multifaceted role, you will work on a variety of IT projects. With your technical knowledge and ability, you will be a strong business IT analyst capable of working from home and on-site at customer premises when necessary. We are seeking a person who can perform well in a team environment while self-managing to meet customer and project deadlines. Your knowledge of networking and cloud services will provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills in the essential IT infrastructure of OBT.

Mandatory technical requirements include:

  • A relevant IT degree and a minimum of 3-5 years experience at a systems integrator firm or managed IT service provider in a customer-facing role
  • Microsoft Office 365 Certifications
  • Strong understanding of core Microsoft systems, including Office 365, Windows, Active Directory, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with Exchange and Citrix
  • Microsoft Skype for Business experience is not essential but favourable
  • Clear and reliable understanding of Routing, Switching, LAN/WAN
  • Advanced Windows Server skills
  • Group Policy & Scripting (highly desirable)
  • Experience in Migration
  • Advanced proven troubleshooting skill
  • Hyper-V or ESX (ideally both)
  • Storage (Multiple Vendors) favourable

 

The successful candidate will also possess:

  • Ability to relate well with clients, management, peers and vendors
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with high-pressure situations
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors
  • Ability to work under pressure with superior organisation skills in order to work to deadlines for time-critical work
  • A sense of ownership to follow up and ensure a professional outcome
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to support the technical team in attitude, commitment and working hours
  • Self-motivated, capable of setting your own tasks and objectives
  • Ability to provide technical support on products and solutions that address specific customer problems and needs
  • Committed to growing in skill, certification and experience
  • To act as an interface between customers and the company in the provision of any services they may be called upon to render
