Description

Due to continous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer to join our Professional Services Team.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the effective execution of infrastructure projects that involve Storage, Virtualization, and Wintel services, encompassing M365, Security, and Networks.

This role will based in Melbourne as there may be occasional customer site visits required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Storage, Virtualization, Windows AD Services, Azure IaaS, M365, Security, Backup, and Network services following industry best practices.
  • Guide cross-functional teams of project engineers to achieve successful delivery within their technical domain.
  • Provide technical guidance to new clients and collaborating closely with presales Solution Architects for comprehensive project delivery.
  • Work alongside the Project Manager, ensure solutions are aligned with the design, statement of work, and scheduling milestones during delivery.
  • Travel to customer sites for project-related tasks as needed including engaging in design discussions with potential client

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years in architecture, design, implementation, and leading projects with highly skilled System / Network Engineers specialising in Wintel, VMware, Office365 / M365 and Networking
  • Must have multiple vendor related industry certifications.
  • Strong knowledge and industry experience across a range of systems & network technologies including vendors such as HP, VMware, Microsoft / Azure, Citrix, Aruba, FortiGate and Cisco
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in some of the following technologies: o VMware vSphere (Multi host Server Virtualization) o Microsoft Windows Active Directory and associated Domain Services o Microsoft Exchange On-premises and online with email filtering o Microsoft Office M365 (MAM, MDM, Defender Suite, AD Connect, MFA, etc) o Backups (Veeam Backup and Replication preferable) - Practical understanding of the following technologies: o Network Fundamentals (Routing, Switching, Firewall, Access Points) o Citrix & Terminal Services o Disaster Recovery techniques o Security processes and procedures - Strong architecture, design, project delivery and documentation skills. - Have handled Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Demergers of large corporates.
  • Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Professional Consulting Services, or similar organisation.
