The Opportunity

The Business Operations Manager (internal Channel Manager) drives new hosting sales from existing telecommunications customer base nationally. Working collaboratively with Sales leadership in the Telco BU and sales Operations it identifies, and targets opportunities (whitespace) to increase or introduce hosting services for existing and prospect customers in the Macquarie Telecom BU customers.

This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 3 days in our CBD offices and the remaining working from home. #LI-Hybrid

What you'll be doing?

  • This role is responsible for the Hosting Net Sales Performance (NSP) within the Macquarie Cloud Services business unit. 
  • You will develop and implement strategies to orchestrate sales outcomes through the channel with a view to over achieving on the Hosting Net Sales Performance.
  • Focusing on Telecom customer, new to Cloud Services Business and Telecom customer with existing Cloud Services Business.

Your ideal skills & experience

  • Minimum of 5 Years experience in direct sales in the corporate market.
  • IT Technical background.
  • Proven record in selling IT services ideally cloud managed services to ‘C level’ contacts, experience selling directly to the end customer. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of commercial requirements of the sales process.
  • Outstanding communication skills and customer focus.
  • Understanding of Telecom services (WAN, SIP etc) and how they interact with Cloud-based solutions is desirable.
  • Understanding of operation support models including ITIL\ITSM management is desirable.
