We are looking for a Senior Solution Consultant to join their team to deliver ServiceNow based solutions and services for customer facing projects.

 

The successful candidate will be a key senior member of ServiceNow implementation team. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Set out below are the key responsibilities for the position. This is not an exhaustive list, and within reason, additional tasks or duties may be requested from time to time in line with company requirements.

Key responsibilities of the role include performing tasks as outlined below:

Team Leadership

  • Prepare quality procedure documents in line with Nexon's quality and security accreditations and product development requirements;
  • Drive the continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on client experiences;
  • Mentoring of other consultants within the team;

Quality & Capability

  • Act as the SME point of escalation for project related issues
  • Accountable for ensuring project design, quality and repeatability documentation and processes are available, accessible and understood by your team
  • Ability to lead a customer engagement from start to finish, acting as a subject matter expert within your field for processes, technical best practices; architecture design and organisational change to ensure successful uptake of projects by a customer
  • Provide well-conceived, clearly articulated, pragmatic solutions and recommendations to complex business problems 

Customer & Engagement

  • Developing strong relationships with business leaders to understand the client’s vision and how ServiceNow plays in their digital transformation journey and translating business objectives to outcomes into a customer roadmap refining the client’s vision
  • Support Sales and Presales activities supporting our sales team including opportunity identification and qualification, building proof of concepts and presenting demonstration’s to customers, complete high-level designs, scoping into activities and estimates with assumptions providing an acute attention to detail
  • Identifying opportunities and influence clients to adopt ServiceNow platform modules, functionality and upgrades and associated professional services;
  • Contribute to thought leadership, provide market insight, industry experience and gain trust from the client as the go-to advisors
  • Presentation of proposed solutions to stakeholders at various levels within a customer organisation;
  • Responsible for delivering successful outcomes in client engagements, ensuring an excellent reputation for delivery and ensuring high customer satisfaction ratings
  • Cultivating strong relationships with ServiceNow solution consultants, account executives and other relevant ServiceNow representatives
  • Ability to conduct customer facing workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to confirm processes, requirements and to manage expectations;
  • Undertake consulting engagements to deliver customer solutions.
  • Responsible for ensuring the teams technical solutions and delivery outcomes are commercially viable and profitable
  • Accountable for the development of solutions for one or more complex portfolios/domains to ensure effective solutions are designed in accordance with business value priorities, business requirements, Nexon standards and our technology strategies
  • Identify opportunities to resolve complex problems, deliver value, optimise benefits and reduce the cost base of the Consulting Services and broader Nexon delivery teams
  • Engage in project meetings and performing tasks including project implementation planning, identifying project risks/issues and provide estimates as required to support the project manager
  • Review project deliverables to ensure high quality standards and customer requirements are met
  • Ability to conduct customer facing workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to confirm processes, requirements and to manage expectations
  • Ability to complete work within the ServiceNow platform including configuration of modules, reporting, workflow, self-service portal, systems integration and data transforms;
  • Providing ServiceNow platform insight and forward-thinking on ServiceNow upgrades, new releases, future ServiceNow roadmap

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary degree, and/or recognised industry qualifications and experience
  • 5+ Years ServiceNow expertise
  • Minimum of 10 years' commercial experience in a software discipline, with 5+ years experience on multiple Enterprise service management implementations on ServiceNow end to end deployment;
  • Demonstrated ServiceNow experience and certifications (Certified System Administrator and a Certified Implementation Specialist certifications)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills in building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal communication and written communication Pre-sales and Post-Sales activities with a high level of attention to detail with pride in the accuracy and presentation of information;
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile techniques;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Demonstrated expertise in data/workflow modelling skills at least to the level of multi-level swim-lane process models or BPMN;
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct workshops, product demonstrations and stakeholder interviews with confidence acute attention to detail, engaging in feedback, listening well, capturing and document detailed requirements for both customers and development teams ;
  • Demonstrated ability to capture customer requirements, translate those into effective ServiceNow designs and form Build/Configuration activities;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, work independently as well as work within a team context;
  • Mentoring of other consultants within the team; and
  • Commitment to the principles and practices of Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health & Safety.

Preferred / Highly Desirable

  • Knowledge of service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL or SIAM)
  • Technical skills in web based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/JSON, REST/SOAP Web Services)
  • Experience working in a structured environment with an understanding of the principles of project management methodologies such as AGILE (Scrum) and WaterFall (Prince/PMBOK)
  • Experience with data flow and data modelling tools 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 year’s commercial experience in a software discipline;
  • Relevant tertiary degree, and/or recognised industry qualifications and experience;
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and high business acumen to deliver quality outcomes;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills in building and maintaining relationships;
  • Proven consulting skills including analysis, design, project management and organisational change management skills in supporting business process change;
  • Ability to conduct workshops, product demonstrations and stakeholder interviews with confidence;
  • Demonstrate that you are able to consult with a customer on best practice, recommend approaches and outcomes to ensure that the solution delivered is fit for purpose;
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery of solutions;
  • Be a lateral thinker who is analytical and able to quickly develop an understanding of business processes and demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills;
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), negotiation and collaboration;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as working as part of a large team;
  • Demonstrated ability to direct the work of other consultants working on a project;
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to deliver to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile project techniques;
  • Experience with web based technologies (HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, working with API’s, Databases, Security and System Integrations); and

Preferred / Highly Desirable

  • ServiceNow experience and certifications
