In advance of a major CRM and website project, the Universities and Colleges Employers’ Association (UCEA) needed to update its core office IT infrastructure from an old server running Microsoft Server 2012 and a range of desktop PCs running Windows 7 and Office 2010. Users complained about their computers’ slow start up times, slow response times, and poor multitasking capabilities. Comis specified, procured and installed a new server running Microsoft Server 2016 together with high performance PCs running Windows 10 and Office 365. The benefits were felt immediately with users reporting productivity increases of up to 20% due to time savings from the fast, powerful new hardware and software. The upgraded infrastructure now provides a suitable platform on which to deploy UCEA’s new CRM.
