Our IT was no longer able to meet the requirements of an international cross-channel retailer with more than 10,000 employees all over Europe. Until two years ago, the systems operated independently, with each of the locations having administrators taking care of that location’s system.However there were some locations that had no IT experts at all. The company was in need of a new solution that efficiently supported and optimized our business processes.
The intensive consulting by CANCOM won us over, as did the fact that we could now turn to a partner with a wide variety of technical competencies. The military precision of the planning for the data center move in a single night was a phenomenal achievement. CANCOM’s performance impressed us so much that WISAG will recommend CANCOM to its clients in the future whenever they ask us about IT services that we ourselves do not provide.
A smooth transition to the new firewall and VPN infrastructure was critical for us. With the competent support of CANCOM Security Consulting, we were able to achieve this goal.
The introduction of the CANCOM AHP Private Cloud allowed us to reduce our IT operating costs by up to 35 percent. In some cases new locations or companies can be tied into the system in just one weekend, which used to take several weeks. Even our IT employees are now highly motivated as they were able to take on more challenging duties in the computer center after being retrained. Implementing the CANCOM AHP Private Cloud and capitalizing on the expertise of the CANCOM staff was a sound decision.
From our point of view it was also important that in
CANCOM and its subsidiary PIRONET NDH we have a contact who implements solutions for us which comply precisely with our requirements. These range from cloud-based data centre operation with maximum data protection to our UCC solution which can be utilised worldwide, right through to supplying the latest Surface Tablets to our staff, complete with the required software. We definitely want to continue to profit from this service which provides ‘everything from a single source’ in the future, too.
