About the role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will:

  • Implement, maintain, support and troubleshoot IT Infrastructure (remote and on-site), including servers, network infrastructure and cloud platforms.
  • Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancement on the systems infrastructure for customers.
  • Deliver technical projects (Cloud & On-Premise) utilising a wide variety of leading enterprise grade technologies.
  • Work within a team to support broad and varied systems from leading vendors.
  • Liaise with the customers on a regular basis, including issue resolutions and take input regarding business requirements.
  • Work closely with leading vendors on latest best practices, projects, and training opportunities.

Skills

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in the IT professional services industry working as one of the following: Systems Engineer / Project Engineer / Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer / Solutions or Presales Engineer
  • Network LAN/WAN/VLAN/Wi-Fi implementation and support (eg Aruba, Cisco, Extreme).
  • Firewall rules, configure, and support (eg Barracuda, Forcepoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos).
  • Certifications (such as MCSE, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CWNA, Security+).

In addition to the above criteria, skills in at least two of the below areas are highly desirable:

  • Servers (Microsoft Windows 2016 / 2019 / 2022, Linux)
  • 3 Tier and Hyper-Converged storage solutions (Dell, HPE, Nutanix, NetApp).
  • Virtualisation (VMware / Hyper-V).
  • Public and Private Cloud Infrastructure (eg datacentre / AWS / MS Azure).
  • Scripting (PowerShell / VBScript / APIs).
  • Experience with implementing and managing backup solutions (Barracuda, Veeam, Amazon Glacier).
  • Network Security including MFA, NAC (eg Clearpass), SSO.
  • Cyber Security including Pen Testing, Application and Data Mapping, NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • VoIP including PBX, SIP, and QoS.
  • Capabilities with SQL or PowerBI.
  • Microsoft 365 (including Teams VoIP integrations) and Google Workspace Deployments
