The Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be involved in delivering projects based on Microsoft Azure Data Services. This will include developing components, peer-reviewing code and contributing to the Intellectual Property Library.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Project Manager to define and plan project delivery, schedules and resource requirements
  • Ensure that projects are delivered as per the implementation methodology
  • Plan the design and delivery of solutions that meet business requirements into new and existing data solutions.
  • Continue to develop technical capabilities and knowledge and provide mentorship to other team members.
  • Customer Engagement & Commercial Development
  • Participate in the presales process accessing the clients’ needs
  • To review, create and maintain internal documentation and processes with the primary goal of achieving service delivery efficiencies.

What skills and experience you bring:

  • Strong experience designing, planning, maintaining, and documenting reliable and scalable data infrastructure and data products in complex environments.
  • Designing and Implementing Data Warehouse Solutions using technologies such as Azure Synapse and Snowflake.
  • Highly proficient in ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Informatica.
  • Highly proficient in Power BI design and modelling 
  • Proficient in SQL and PySpark
  • Proficient in data quality concepts, data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment techniques.
  • Experience in implementing batch and Streaming data solutions using Lambda or Kappa architectures.
  • Develop robust end-to-end data solutions for structured and unstructured data including, but not limited to, ingestion, parsing, integration, auditing, logging, aggregation, normalisation, modelling, and error handling.
