The Role

Due to growth, we are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Project Engineer) in Brisbane to join us on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate. You will be responsible for defining, delivering, managing, and reporting on projects for a dedicated client. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives and providing technical assistance will form a key part of the role and to have a code-first mindset for Infrastructure. Travel to the client site will be required in Fortitude Valley and having enterprise experience is highly desirable. 

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Effective delivery of projects achieving desired outcomes
• Adhere to Project Management methodologies as guided by the PMO
• Demonstrate technical and service excellence
• Meet billable hours target
• Adherence to and management of scope

What skills you will bring to the team:

• Minimum of 5 years technical service delivery experience
• Skills and experience with Wintel solutions for server and workstation use cases; specifically:
• Windows Server 2008-2022
• Windows 7-11
• Active Directory Domain Services and Certificate Services
• DNS, DHCP, File & Print Services
• Virtualisation (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
• Cloud-based services such as Office 365 and Azure solutions essential
• Chosen specialisation in current technologies (e.g. Citrix, SQL, Network, SSO etc)
• Demonstrated Powershell/scripting ability
• Code-first mindset for Infrastructure
• Proven work in a billable hours environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management ability
• Passion for delivering quality outcomes for customers
• Security and best-practise focus
• Have private transport and current driver’s license
• Experience within an outsourced service delivery environment

Desirable

• Prior experience in Solution Architecture
• Technical documentation writing experience
• Technical account management
• Proven ability to influence key decision makers
• Working knowledge of ITSM service delivery concepts
