ramsac has placed the resource and capabilities of a large organisation IT department at our immediate disposal. We continue to have a lot of new developments happening right across the market and ramsac’s support at a strategic and operational level plays an important part in this growth.
ramsac’s strength lies in following up on all support requests, network issues and development requests, and this has ensured that no task, however small, is allowed to slip through the cracks. The team are communicative, pleasant and above all, productive. We have been impressed by their perseverance to get to the bottom of issues, regardless of how obscure they may seem initially, as well as their professional representation and efficient interaction with our global networking providers.
As a company they are very commercially aware when it comes to providing IT support. ramsac explains IT in clear English, taking away the stress of dealing with our systems and needs. We actually think of the ramsac team as our IT department rather than as a supplier! We were also very impressed with its performance as a business its self. Having grown and moved to a new office, we feel that ramsac is a stable and reliable partner with which we can work and trust.
We operate on a monthly retainer with ramsac, which I feel is good value, especially when contrasting this with the cost of employing our own specialist IT manager or IT department, and I feel that we get the best of both worlds. They have certainly added value to our business and I trust them.
I meet with Robert every quarter to discuss current IT issues and to ensure everything is working on both an operational and strategic level. The relationship between ramsac and Perry Hay & Co is successful and reflects the relationships we like to cultivate with all our clients and suppliers, based on mutual trust and loyalty.We have confidence in our IT system and are reassured that a reliable and professional team are available to us if and when we need them. Any technical issues that arise are identified and dealt with swiftly, by an expert who knows exactly what we have, how it operates and the steps required to resolve it, with minimum or no impact on the business.
At each milestone in our growth ramsac has risen to every challenge we have presented them. We consider their guidance and support to be of intrinsic value and view them more as business partner than a service provider.Having worked with ramsac since 2009, we knew ramsac was the obvious choice in making the migration to Office 365 a reality. They have a good structure and ethos and this has enabled them to maintain a good relationship with our charity by ensuring continuity in staff involvement. ramsac’s relationship manager has got to know our staff and our services and is aware of our specific needs, for example in relationship to costs and confidentiality. Our relationship manager was able to directly assist us in transferring away from our old system through conference calls to Microsoft and BT. He was also able to oversee – rather than dominate – the software we purchased. It was good to feel in control of the project and have ramsac’s expertise available at the same time.
For the first time we were able to depend upon our IT systems to function without question. The server no longer crashes and it remains switched on 24×7. Working together with ramsac we now have a clear understanding of our IT requirement and the associated costs, enabling us to budget effectively and plan strategically.
On the rare occasion that an issue arises we are able to explain the situation to ramsac over the telephone and not be baffled by jargon or high cost solutions.ramsac gave us insight into what needed actioning urgently as well as identifying the future requirements. They indicated these with a ‘red, amber and green’ colour system which made it clear what needed attention immediately and what could be put on hold for future projects.
All projects are structured and documented so that everybody knows what needs doing and at what point. I would recommend ramsac to anyone due to the professionalism that ramsac deliver every time we deal with them.ramsac have always provided a great project team, who attend site and talk through all the requirements of each project, in language I can understand and are really great at keeping me up to date on actions and issues throughout the project.
I really appreciate the relationship built with our technical consultant, Andy, together with the support of our relationship director, James, who always strives to find either the best solution or to address any queries we have. I would definitely recommend ramsac to other companies.ramsac has the expertise to be able to oversee the integration of different technologies, allowing us to pick and choose off-the-shelf solutions which give us exactly what we need, wit ut the considerable costs of having bespoke software developed especially for us. We trust ramsac as our IT partner, they offer a well-targeted and costeffective alternative to a big in-house team and we would recommend them to any small business with similar IT needs to us.
The customer service level from the helpdesk is very good, we have not had one complaint from a user here about customer service issues, so that’s a great improvement. Also we feel we have a partner that can get our systems to where we want them to be. It has opened up a lot of possibilities for our infrastructure that we just couldn’t do before because we didn’t have a partner that would help us achieve those. It’s been a huge improvement, and we would definitely recommend ramsac to other organisations.
ramsac were the only company prior to submitting their proposal, that came in to have a chat with us and find out more about the nitty gritty – which was really helpful and meant when the brief was submitted, we felt that ramsac knew us already because they put in that extra effort, it definitely helped us with the decision making. Making the choice came down to the integrity of the people we spoke to in the process. James Neville-Towle the Relationship Director from ramsac did a very good job of reassuring us, we felt there was a challenge to what we wanted and ramsac had a very pragmatic approach. James was involved throughout the tender consultation process and he was going to be our account manager moving forward, he knew us and we felt comfortable with him.
The main benefit of using ramsac is having people who are normal, human and knowledgeable giving us great IT support. All of the ramsac support team are really lovely, professional and friendly and they really understand how to get information they need out of non-technical people. They explain what they are doing at a level that is appropriate for the people are talking to.ramsac were a local company who offered a cost-effective package to the school. We have used ramsac for 10 years and have always been pleased with the excellent service they offer. Having a graded scale for support is really helpful but issues are always dealt with promptly.
We have benefited from personalised support and peace of mind, knowing that we will always have continuity in our school IT systems particularly critical systems like our admin systems, if something goes wrong we know who to ask to fix it. I would definitely recommend ramsac, it is great getting to know the people in support and having a dedicated consultant who knows the school.I did a lot of research to find a new support company that was not hundreds of miles away, so we could have regular support visits and I would have to spend less of my time on IT issues. I invited ramsac in to meet with them and was very impressed with their professionalism. They understood that I did not want, or indeed have the ability, to deal with all the IT problems but needed a support company that would take them away from me and manage the IT systems for me. I also liked the idea of an ‘all inclusive’ model, so I knew how much the support would be costing us and I could budget more accurately.
I have much more confidence in the recommendations that are made. I like the fact that I have a good working relationship with our Relationship Director, who I know I can go to if I have a real issue and they provide us with ongoing plans to ensure that IT is constantly developing and is properly budgeted for. We are not constantly being asked to spend additional money to try and rectify problems that might exist; they are examined properly before any solution is proposed. There are no hidden costs; everything is very open and documented. The biggest benefit to me personally is that I no longer manage the day to day IT, ramsac do it.
