Top 5 Most Offered Services by MSPs

Predicting the future is tricky. You only need to look at Covid, who saw that coming, right? So, in this article instead of guessing the future, we decided to go the easy way and look back into what has happened in 2021 so far. By digging some solid data that can help understand which of the products, services and technologies have been the most offered by Managed Service Providers.

To learn the type of services and their importance as part of each MSP offering, we analyzed 5,000 MSPs from across the globe. This analysis was conducted on November 1, 2021 with data sourced uniquely from Cloudtango. The results are not that surprising as seen in the graphic below.

To no one’s surprise, cybersecurity topped the list of the most offered service in 2021, followed closely by helpdesk which is the bread and butter of a large part of the market and continues to be widely offered by MSPs. Virtualization services cover a wide range of areas such as virtualized desktops, servers and more.
And now that we see the remote work roller-coaster beginning to slow down and employees start to return to their offices progressively, companies seem to be refocusing on their corporate networks again. Last but not least, Microsoft leads all cloud productivity offerings within the MSP world with Microsoft 365 as businesses continue to migrate away from on-premises productivity tools.
