When we look at the value proposition, of course, we're cost-sensitive, but we don't just look at dollars and cents, we look at the value that's created. I'd rather work with professionals who have been doing this for decades and are guiding us to the solutions that can be implemented for us. That's why the strategic planning piece is important to me. They're not just someone who comes in and checks our servers...that strategic planning piece also provides value to us as well.
Today, the only time I ever deal with IT issues is when iCorps comes in for its regular hardware review because everything just runs the way it should. All of the constant failures, things getting hung up, that just doesn’t happen anymore.
Marr Scaffolding Company was introduced to iCorps Technologies four years ago. iCorps provided Marr management at the front end of the engagement with a high-level overview of amendments needed at Marr. iCorps was instrumental in recommending upgrading our servers, routers, and backup routines. We were able to improve wide-area network connections with our branch offices in Providence, RI, and Springfield, MA, as well as complete upgrades to our office personnel computers.
Most recently, Marr Scaffolding successfully converted to a newer financial software version. Support from iCorps during this transition was terrific. Working with Marr IT, our financial software dealer, and iCorps was a team effort that worked.

One thing I'd like to add that's a differentiator for iCorps, is that I think a lot of people in the IT space claim to act as a CIO, as an outsourced senior level function. From what I've witnessed in the three or four companies I've worked with, a lot of people say that, but they just don't do it. You get that senior level IT initially, they get you on-boarded, then your day to day support is people at the desk level.
With iCorps, they really do have those layers, and different engineers looking at responsibilities. From my standpoint, that's the big difference.iCorps’ people are skilled IT professionals, but they also really understand business. It’s never a canned solution. They assess each problem or project individually and provide technology options that are customized for our needs - and that work for our business.
